Unable to insert extracted data into new Tivoli Storage Manager 6.1

This week I've been trying to migrate our TSM 5.5 database to our new TSM 6.1 system. I've been using the "New System, Method method" upgrade procedure.

I've been able to extract the data from old TSM 5.5 database into an "ost" file on a USB drive. I've also been able to format the new TSM 6.1 database and logs with no problems on the new system.

The problem I have now is trying to insert the data contained in the "ost" file into the new TSM 6.1 database.

I've been told it's because we need to download and install the patch and move to TSM 6.1.2 .

Is this information correct?

If so where do I acquire the patch or upgrade software for TSM 6.1.2 and the Documents for install the TSM 6.1.2 software?

I've attached the the upgrade logs, hope you can help me the boss is nagging me to try and get this done by the end of the week...........

Hi again,
yes, you're right, you need to upgrade.
Your old server uses backupsets and the new server doesn't support backupsets yet.
The message you get -
ANR1046E INSERTDB: Database upgrade not currently supported for this server
because it uses backup sets.

and its explanation -
The current version of the TSM 6.1 server does not support backup sets. However, the server being upgraded uses backup sets, and so cannot be upgraded at this time. Note that this is a temporary limitation that will be lifted in a future TSM 6.1 Server Fix Pack.
Here is a bit more detail -
You actually need to upgrade to 6.1.2/6.1.3 - or delete your backupsets before migrating ...  ;-)
There is also an interim fix  I wouldn't recommend using it, since sooner or later you will upgrade to 6.1.2/3 anyway.
TSM 6.1.3 is here - http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg24025591
Good luck!
