How to raise physical ram on server with plesk 9.5

Hi there, we running a maling program that requires more memory then the allocated  64
(Your MySQL server is configured to use less than 64 megabytes of physical RAM, which may cause you to experience slow performance.)

Please consider raising this amount in your server's my.cnf file, or ask your system administrator or ISP to do so for you. The variable which must be increased is innodb_buffer_pool_size, and ideally should be half of all the physical RAM your server has installed. (Example: innodb_buffer_pool_size=1G)

Where can I find this file using FTP? Or through the panel? I have not been lucky to find it.
Once this has been increased, do I have to reboot the machine?
What negative impact could it have on the server?

Thanks!

Best regards

Depending on what OS you are using you will need direct file access to modify any of your config files.  Windows would be RDP, Unix or Linux would require SSH access.   These are the most secure without exposing you config to the web through FTP.

THanks for your reply, but where is that config file located? I access everything through FTP, our server runs on Linux. Thanks for your reply.
