How do you disable the USB ports through the Active directory policy settings?

I need to control the USB devices that are plugged into the office computers, since these devices such as flash disks and external hard drives do pose a threat to the security of the business data as well make us prone to viruses. The problem is the keyboard and mouse are USBs so the solution has to somehow not allow USB storage.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
