Quickbooks - is there a way to bold specific text in the description field in an invoice?

I know I can bold things in an invoice template - 'total', repeated text (top / bottom of page, etc).  I want to bold specific text for specific descriptions that may not show up in every invoice.

is there a way to do that?

a certain part, would have a Note:  yada yada. comment on the invoice.  That would be bold.  That part wouldn't always be on every  invoice.

thanks!

There is no way within the program to bold only certain descriptions and such. Other using all caps I think you'll be out of luck. You may want to look into a 3rd party app, they may be able to do it. I would suggest going to marketplace.intuit.com and look there.

No built-in way.  However, there are other solutions.

You can create a new (custom) invoice form as a duplicate of your existing Invoice form, then modify the output to fit your exact needs.  The advantage is that you can easily make ANY changes that you want to the layout, all very easily.  The disadvantage is that you have to remember to select the right invoice type when creating (or at least before printing) the invoice.

I use this option to print mailing labels in non-standard formats.  I simply created a layout that ONLY prints the shipping address and hides everything else.  I then switch the invoice format to the "Shipping Label 1" format, print it out, and then change it back.  A few extra mouse clicks, to be sure, but it sure beats re-typing a custom mailing label.
