There are too many possibilities to even comment, without more detail.  It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

In the question you say you are using Crystal Reports then say it is MS Reporting.  Which is it?

What version of SQL Server are you working with?  What is the operating system?  What is the IIS version?  How was reporting services installed and configured?  What is the .NET framework version that you are working with?  Is this a problem with a single application, or every one running on that machine?

Please find the answer to the question:
What version of SQL Server are you working with?  SQL 2000
What is the operating system? Windows 2000 server
What is the IIS version? IIS version 6.0
How was reporting services installed and configured? Reporting service is installed and configure on database server where MSSQL server is installed. In regard with configuration can you please explain more in details.
What is the .NET framework version that you are working with? .net frame work 1.1
Is this a problem with a single application, or every one running on that machine? this issue is with everyone on on one single user. In our application there is a facility generate a reports. So when end user tries to generate a report sometimes it works fine. But if the report is not generated on regular interval it requires IIS reset. Once the IIS reset we can successfully generate the reports.
Our's is a web base application where we are using web server as Tomcat and for reports it's configure through IIS
On further investigation, I checked the web logs it records a error stating connection was not established. So I assume that IIS goes into sleeping mode and may be if there is some particular settings in IIS where I can keep the connection alive this issue would get resolve.
Could you please help in regard with the same.

I work for a conservative insurance company, so I understand old technology.  It does make it difficult for me, though, since I don't think in terms of SQL Server 2000, and Windows 2000 Advanced Server, etc.

Are there any service packs installed?

Can you show me the error from the web log?

I wouldn't think that the "keep-alive" setting would be what you want.  The web site should be able to make a connection, generate the report, and close the connection, without having to keep a connection open.

What service Packs are you looking for. Is the default hot fix or patches from Microsoft.

I submitted a nice long comment, and E-E went down, and since I wasn't having a good day yesterday, and I didn't come back to this.

Let's try smaller:  Why does it appear that you are mixing Apache and IIS on the same box?

desaiviveksAuthor Commented:
I am not mixing IIS and Apache. Apache is used in front end to host our web application. and IIS is used to run reporting service to generate the reports.

"The Snapshot subscription could not be generated at this time"
Is this referring to a replication problem on SQL Server?
