MCST / MCITP Certification / 70-401

I have been asked to study for and pass the 70-401 exams for my job because I will be responsible for rolling out SCCM 2007 in a few months. I have been working with MS AD for 10 years but have never taken any of the exams. I want to begin the process of getting certified and I understand that I should skip the MCSE because it is being phased out. I'm having a hard time finding out exactly what exams I have to pass for the MCITP cert and how 70-401 might fit into that if it does at all. I really want 70-401 to fit in somewhere since I have to take it. I'm summary, I have two questions.

1) What exactly are the exam requirements for MCIPT?
2) Where can I fit in the 70-401 and have that apply to some cert other than MCSE.

Google "MCITP roadmap"   that will get you good info
Those are roadmaps for MCITP: EA & SA
401 counts as a credit towards 2003 certs  http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-401&locale=en-us
SInce you are learning it it doesn't hurt to take it and list it on the resume either.
Thanks and good luck on your certs

Here's the specs for all the MCITP, all options (Enterprise Admin, DBA, etc...)

SCCM 70-401 doesn't seem to be on any of the exam requirements of MCITP.  It's just a stand-alone Tech Specialist certification (like the old MCP) and isn't an elective anywhere in the MCITP programs.
