Small BUsiness Server (SBS) 2008 User Permissions

I set all users under Small Business server. Administrators are fine.

We are using the sbs as domain and active directory server. When i  made my pc part of the domain and logged in as administrator i installed ms dynamics application. When i login as standard user and run the program it comes us as user not permitted.

How can i give access to users to certain programs in SBS?

it used to be simpler in previous versions. but in sbs it seems to be somewhere else.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't pretend to be a Dynamics Expert, but it's not unusual for some programs, expecially financial programs (like Quickbooks) to require that the person logged on be a part of the local Administrator's group on that desktop (not a domain admin)
There are utilities (I'd have to go look) you can install on a desktop to track the resources and application is trying get ahold of, and then modify those particular resources to allow the standard user to run it.

Due to the change in Security Windows 7 seems to handle this better as a standard user, each program is different
Until the dynamics people revise their software to be "more secure", you'll probably have to run as a local admin on the workstation to get it to run.
get a hold of the tracing software to track exactly what needs permissions
