I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How secure is logmein?
I use it to support over 300 clients

You have to logon to the website using a secure password then every device you connect to has either an access code or uses your inbuilt domain authentication.

The traffic is also encrypted.

Its a well known industry tool

Logmein is only free for non commercial use.
Sorry I do not agree. I use logmein to support many clients and can use unlimited logmein free in a commercial environment.

If you go to their website and use the what product is right for me wizard and state your a business user and want to remotely access pc and mac machines it recomends both pro and free versions

I also have a workin relationship with an account manager at logmein and fully explained my business requirements. I purchased logmein central and a few pro licences just for extra monitoring features. This is how they make their money but the free version really is free for commercial use
Actually not wanting to get into a debate about this I did missread the wizard. And it does not state what i said but upon contacting logmein directly it was their recomendation that i use free versions for my clients that do not need extra features. It may be that they don't advertise it or I honestly may be completely wrong appologies for sounding harsh I have had a rough day

I guess what must have threw me was the "Non-commercial use only" on the bottom of the LogMeIn screen on the desktop application.
