Exchange Info Store Size

What does the 75 GB limitation in Exchange pertain to, i.e. can both Public and Private database each be 75GB or is it a combination of the two, ie is the Exchange Info Store for the organization limited to 75GB?

Do you add or Priv1.edb and Pub, or is it Priv1.edb + .stm and Pub1.edb + .stm or do you add all four files to determine size.

I am achieving varying answers via Googling.

thanks,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

75GB per database...so you can have a 75 GB Pub and 75GB priv...and yes add both edb and stm...to equal the size of the db

Thanks for the reply.  Let me ask you one more thing, in prior versions of Exchange, v5.5, wasn't it a combination of the two?

thanks,

Note it IS NOT the physical size of the database, it is the logical size.

Logical size = physical size - whitespace (as defined in Application event ID 1221)

It is a logical size not a physical size and it is per store.
