Exmerge Exchange 2003 - Can't access from Recovery Storage Group

Folks,

I had to setup a Recovery Storage group in Exchange 2003 as a user lost plenty of email from Inbox in archive problem.  I use backupexec 11d and copied procedures from here http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/264815.htm except for point 3 Ton how to restore Exchange 2003 databases using the Recovery Storage Group as I was restoring database to same exchange server.

I restored database from tape backup to E:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\First Storage Group and it is correct.  When I run exmerge using the two step procedure, all I want is to extract to pst file, and select the recovery storage group I get error to say that exmerge can't access list of mailboxes on the database.  I have attached log file as well.

When I try thie same procedure on the First Information Store it does see the mailboxes and I am using same admin account for both.  I have checked permissions on recovery storage group using ADSIedit and admin as send and receive as allow first beofre deny send and recive.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hi,

Check the permission on the Recover Storage Group. The Administrator account should not have any deny permissions set.

Hey Shreedhar, I setup a separate account and security group according to this  site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292509 but it still made no difference.  This is stupid quetsion but I assume I am supposed to mount the Mailbox store in the Recovery Storgae Group?  When i try it fails.  I check eventvwr and get error 619 Source: ESE which seems like it didn't process correctly?
