Problem Resolving - Event Error 12014

I cannot get Symantic to send out email event notices. When researching the problem I ran into Event Error 12014. When I looked in the Certificate Store I noticed that the services for the certificate were 'none'. How do I get the TLS service to use the certificate?

Event Details:
Microsoft Exchange couldn''t find a certificate that contains the domain name remote.domain.com in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Windows SBS Internet Receive (server name) with a FQDN parameter of remote.domain.com. If the connector''s FQDN is not specified, the computer''s FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.

Endure,

Thank you for your response. I used the following command to correct my problem:

[PS] C:\Windows\System32>Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Thumbprint 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -Services "SMTP"

Thanks again for you help.

Are you attempting to get Backup Exec to send out notifications?   I have never worked with certificates...  You need to set exchange to allow the backup exec box to relay:
