Changing subnet mask to expand IP addresses

We currently have a network of 222.222.222.0 /24 and we are out of IPs. We want to change the subnet mask to /23.

What IP address ranges will be available if we do that? Currently we have 222.222.222.0-222.222.222.254.

Mind you 222.222.222.0/anything is publicly routable.  You may encounter routing problems down the line.

You can not change to subnet /23.  You need to change ip network to for example 10.11.0.0.

222.222.222.0 / 23 does not excist.

When done you will have arroung 500 host available....

Correct, markswelch.

222.222.222.0/23 - network address
222.222.222.1/23 - first usable address
222.222.223.254/23 - last usable address
222.222.223.255/23 - broadcast address
