How to install flash player on website?

My webpage is being hosted on a hosting service. I would like to upload flash videos so people accessing my website can watch them online. I managed to do so, but only after the visitor has to download a player and install it on his/her system. What do I have to do so that visitors can watch a flash movie straight from the browser without installing any third party program other than an add-on?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Up to my knowlege flash movies do require a browser plugin.
There is no way around it.

Do you target Windows  or Linux users or both?

What you could do on your server is convert the flash video into an avi file with well known codecs.

Then the user could download the .avi file and play it with a media player.

That's probably as close as you can get.

Event hen you have to be sure, that the user has a media player installed,

I don't know any tool by heart, but you can find many flash video to avi converters on the net.

One random hit would be
http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Web_Authoring/Multimedia_Web_Authoring_Tools/SWF_to_AVI.html

Plese note I did not verify, tht this SW is working or virus free.

which is normally the case on almost all new PCs

Refer : http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Web_Servers/Q_26014369.html in which i have posted the files which will auto detect the browser plugin and if not present then it will auto install it. With dreamweaver flash adding, you get the issue fixed up.
