MD5 Problem Apache Mysql

i have transferred my sites form plesk to cpanel but i have sth. strance on plesk because i am not able to connect to the sites which uses md5 encoding on passwords
if i go into phpmyadmin and regenarate the md5 code for the true password it works :(

this is a password that i transferred :
$P$Byg6X6ybpG/ql5Yl9ZSJhYLOvdsyGe0
that is one that i created on phpmyadmin on plesk :
827ccb0eea8a706c4c34a16891f84e7b

why this are different ?
after creating the password i am able to use the panel

$P$Byg6X6ybpG/ql5Yl9ZSJhYLOvdsyGe0  I don't think this is an MD5 password, I've never seen and MD5 with dollar sign "$" and slashes "\"

yes i do not know how it is appears but on my ex server when my wordpress create a user passwords creating with this chars but on the new server it is creating directly with md5 :S how this happens
