Software Update Point ConfigMgr client installation and Collection - Maintenance Windows

I recently upgraded to ConfigMgr 2007 SP2.  I need to get my clients upgraded to client SP2 - 4.00.6487.2000.  My organization utilizes ConfigMgr - Software Updates to patch our server environments.  We use strict collention maintenance windows to manage when security updates can install and reboot our servers.  At this time, Software Update Point client installation is not enabled on my site servers.  If I were to enable this... would the client installs using the SUP method honor the maintenance windows like normal security updates and only upgrade the client to SP2 within the maintenance window?  My concern is that clients would start installing outside the designated maintenance windows.

Thanks,

You can configure packages to ignore maintenace windows, but in your case i would distribute the SP2 Agent as a normal software disitrbution package in sccm and not via SUP method

Although the experts solution was acceptable, he was vague on the specifics pertaining to the SUP method of deploying clients.  There are sometimes different reasons for utilizing SUP vs distribution packages.
