I can’t remotely access the shared files on my member server through VPN

I have a Windows SBS 2003, which is the domain controller and is hosting active directory. And I have a member server running Windows 2008 server standard. TS are installed on the member server. I have admin right on both machines.
I can VPN into the SBS 2003 and access the shared files but not the member server. I can also access the SBS machine by remote desktop. After connecting to the main server by VPN I still can’t access the member server using remote desktop.
I s there anything that needs to be done on the member server to allow me access shared files and folders remotely?
Thank you,
Samba

sorry but have to ask the simple questions first

Is remote desktop enabled on the 2008 server
Is the firewall running.
SambaCorAuthor Commented:
Yes remote desktop is enable on the 2008 server.
Only windows firewall is turn on on the 2008 server. I will turn it off and try the connection again.
SambaCorAuthor Commented:
I turned off the firewall on the 2008 server and still can't login to it remotely.
I can actually use remote desktop inside the domain to access it but not from the outside.

One more detail: after I connect to the server via VPN, I not able to ping any workstations. Hope this info could help.
Thanks

I reconfigured the RRAS by using Static address pool on IP tab. I can now access the shared file and use the internet on the local machine by checking  “Use default gateway on remote network” on the client VPN configuration.
What to configure RRAS to allow me to leave "Use default gateway on remote network" UNCHEKED and still be able to connect to the internet on the local machine and access the shared files on the remote computer.
Thanks for your help!

How to configure RRAS to allow me to leave "Use default gateway on remote network" UNCHEKED and still be able to connect to the internet on the local machine and access the shared files on the remote computer.  The reason is that I want to use less bandwidth form the network.
Thanks for your help!

To access the internet locally while connecting through VPN would require some sort of split tunneling setup. We do this at the client end using Cisco VPN Client I am not sure how this is done through server 2003 RRAS sorry. To get an answer to your question it may be better to ask another question for this specific issue as experts seem to shy away fro questions that are old and have been answered by someone else.
