SBS 2008 - "The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to"

Hi Experts,

My administrative account has been locked for some reason "The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to"

Please help ASAP !

Maybe this will help you ...

If you can lay your hands on a Windows box, you can get into it. There are several Windows Password Recovery utils out there. I've only ever used the text based boot disks, but they've always worked. The util will blank any account's password.

stomedc: SBS 2008 is running on VMware Sphere.

Most of those password reset tools are aimed at local machine accounts. I have no idea how they will fair against a domain account. Are you talking about the DOMAIN\Administrator account?

Seen a few that say the same, sounds like a restore from backup may be the only way. I assume there are no other privileged accounts available to login and unlock?

I'm assuming that you can't logon "locally" ot the machine...Have you tried to RDP to the machine?
Is this the admin account you created during install?

nothing helped me to resolved the issue. I got to enter the domain after some hours....  i hav disabled account lock policy !
