When user has ADUC installed on PC and create new Exchange mailboxes i need to know what Exchange server they connect to

Hi

We have some users who have the admin pak installed and use ADUC to create new AD contacts. Our Exchange servers are all Exchange 2003 SP2, today these users are no longer able to create the smtp address. On searching the internet i found that this is due to permissions and them not being local admins of the Exchange sevrer

We have 12 Exchange servers in total so is there a way i can tell what Exchange server they are connecting to when creating these contacts so i can check the permissions on it.

Thanks

Nick

Hi,

ADUC console do not connect to any Exchange server, only DC, because all what you in ADUC console concern only AD object and attributes.

When you create a contact object, you only modify Active Directory, not Exchange servers...

Have a nice day.
