How to keep items in Silverlight DataGrid sorted when items are changing

I have a DataGrid that is bound to a collection.  The items in that collection need to be sorted in the DataGrid and stay sorted even when the item properties are updated, which may force the sort order to change.  I have tried CollectionViewSource and PagedCollectionView to no avail.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try binding your DataGrid to an ObservableCollection

It's the collection object meant to do what you describe, update those bound to it when values in it's collection change.

Maybe you should rebind the datagrid after setting to null.

3 attempted answers were given with no response. It's likely one of them works.

None of the answers helped me actually, but I don't mind just rewarding points for the attempt and because it's been such a long time.
