Selecting only on a portion of an item Number in Crystal Reports

I have a Crystal Report that prompts for an item number that is used to populate the report.  Because the item number looks like 'ITM0000001234', very often the value is entered incorrectly.

How do I configure my selection formula to only to search for the item in a like format.

i.e. where item like "%1234" in Crystal?

I'm using Crystal 9.0

Please use the record selection formula builder to get the exact syntax but it will be like this:
{database.Item} LIKE {?InputItem}
WHERE {?InputItem} is the parameter and {database.Item} is your field in the data source.
It should be like this :(record selection)

{Item Number}  like "*"+{?Item Number}

Note : {?Item Number} ==> parameter

then you only need to enter 1234 on  prompting  parameter
Sorry, forgot the *
