looking for a CRM software

I am looking for a CRM software that is open source , we currently using ACT but I am really not satisfy with it. I would like another software that is Open Source but that is able to have my client take part of the database offline and then being able to sync back when online.
I saw sugarCRM but they want $600 per user for this feature.
I am trying different open source software like Xtuple , Vtiger but I can't seem to find the one that would work offline for my users.
Any suggestions would be appreciate. I am not sure if I need to have the main database on my server and have each of my user sync back and forth with it or if it's better to have one databse per user and have them sync between each other.
Thanks
David

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In what way are you not satisfied with ACT!?
What reason are you looking for Open source?

Well, we have 15 users using ACT and everytime that they sync between each other there is always a problem. Open Source :because it's free and I have good experience with some of the open source software.

Open Source is not always free

What version of ACT! are you running? We get no problems with sync

25 users, all over the place.

With ACT! 6.0, it was really a matter of setting sync up correctly from the beginning ... if it's done right, it works without problem, if not it will be bound to fail.

Hi David

Have you looked at Microsoft Dynamics CRM , I know this is not free software but this can come to you with lot of discount with lot of permotional offer.  They have big easy offer 4.0  going on current where you get 30%  discount on the software.

I know Microsoft Dynamics crm  only , So can recommend that only.   Sorry if you did not like my suggestions.
