Joomla Member Profile

Hi Experts,

I would like to create a section of a preexisting website for users to login, and have a 35 item form to fill out, and they can login back in, and access that form at any time in the future.  My plan was to use Joomla for the login, redirect to the form for new users, and redirect to the completed stored form for current users.

What are your thoughts?  is this the best approach?  If so how would you recommend I go about creating the form, and the DB queries.

Any thoughts, and help is appreciated

Thanks in advance!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

will that allow for individual profiles though?  in that the user can login, and access all the info they have already entered.

I would use community builder.

Is there a way to get the login info for the currently logged in user using community builder?  I am creating a custom component and need the primary key associated with the user so I could use this to add extra information for the user in another table.  They will see this extra information upon login.
