Backup Exec 11D How to change the path that the device/media is saving my data to.
Hello,
I have added a new hard drive to my Windows 2003 server running Symantec Backup Exec 11D. I would like my backup jobs to save to a different path.
For example,:
Let's say my data is saving to:
C:\Data
I would like this to change to:
D:\Data
I am new to Backup Exec and I have not been able to figure out how to do this.
Can I simply point the device/media to a new location. Or do I have to create a new device/media?
Also, should I be backing up my backup exec software and all of its settings? I have never had to restore from Backup Exec and I just thought that I might need to be backing up the Backup exec program so that I can restore everything in the event that we have a major system crash.
Thanks for your help experts.
