Error when burning a Dual Layer DVD

Hello,

I have a DELL computer with a philips dvd+-rw dvd8631.  Last week, I created a home DVD with Pinnacle Studio 11 and I was able to make 2 copies with it.  It's a dual layer DVD.  The first 2 copies I created were done in Memorex DL DVDs.

I then bought some other DL DVDs and attempted to burn a copy, but I was not successful.  I bought more Memorex DL DVDs but I cannot burn them anymore.  Studio stops about half of the way done, right when it's supposed to jump to the second layer.

I used Nero 7 to attempt to burn my DL DVD and it also stopped about half way.  The log from this session is below.

I uninstalled Nero 7 and tried  Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 FREE and had the same results.  Apparently, when it goes to write the second layer I get an error in all 3 programs and the 2 type of disk.

I am up to date on my DVD firmware.

Any help would be appreciate it.

Wghich version of Nero are you running (was)
In simple terms if it worked after two burns and then stopped
possible causes
Could be NERO Burning Rights limit
it's either the source ISO is damaged,or the media DVD are no good or not compatible with this rom drive
then the software crashed when using the bad DL DVD and was not ready when you changed the DL DVD again.
rebooting may have fixed this.
If it's a USB drive unplugging and reinsert the USB.
then you uninstalled Nero??
In order to burn DVD Video you need the mpeg2 plugin, put Nero Back.
Try using the Nero Clean Tool
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/Nero-General-Clean-Tool.shtml

Also the ISO image requires the source files to remain in the directories..
something happened here and then that burn crashed.
refs to>>CdRom1: SCSIStatus(x02) WinError(0) NeroError(-1114)<< it's showing 02
There could be a problem with which is the default burner software.
Or the burn speed exeeds the DL DVD recomended burn speed.
Take a look on the discs burn speed.

Remove the second rom and your problems should be resolved
