asp 3.5 vb.net version of vba sleep , Do Events

I need the vb.net version of VBA sleep Do Events

I have a loop that loops all day...making it almost an infinite loop and I need to pause when it loops again to allow the cpu to process other events/break/rest cpu...

so what if I wanted this to sleep for 1 second, what would that look like??

You could do it something like this, for example

For I as integer = 0 to 100000
    '' Some processes
    System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(1)
