Do I need a wireless router HP Photosmart Premium C309g

Hi Guys,

Quick question.

Do I need a wireless router to use a wireless printer [ HP Photosmart Premium C309g]

Or can I just use a usb cable to connect it, like a normall printer?

Many thanks

The wireless printer can be connected locally via a USB cable and then shared through the local printer to other computers on the network, keep in mind that you may connect the printer with a Cat5 network cable to be accessible via the network without sharing through the computer, but you can only do wired or wireless for the printer.

If you have any questions let me know.
if it just your computer, connect using a USB cable.

If you want to use it wirelessly, then yes.

But if you just want to hook it up regular then No, you may use a USB cable. Keep in mind that a lot of wireless printers don't come with the USB cables anymore, and so you might need to buy one. But a USB cable is a USB cable and if you can grab one off an old printer that'll work also.

Yeah the printer is for my parents, who don't have a wireless router.

Mainly needed to know this, before a buy it for them.

Thanks again
