Can't get simple SOAP Web service javascript client to work

I have a simple demo web service (helloWorld) written in Delphi 7

the invokable call implemented on the server side looks like this:

function helloWorld: String;stdcall;
 result:= "Hello World";

I have written a client in delphi and called the service and it works great.

I am trying to write a Web browser client in Javascript to test it, but can't seem to get it to work.

I am using the soapclient.js from :

and the hellow orld example from here:

I have included my HTML doc below.

can anyone please tell me why i keep getting a NULL returned instead of "Hello World"??????
