InDesign & Illustrator Troubleshooting

I have Adobe CS2 on my mac and suddenly I cannot open InDesign or Illustrator. Adobe Bridge and Photoshop open up no problem at all. When I try to open InDesign, the following error shows up:

"The application InDesign quit unexpectedly. Mac OS X and other applications are not affected. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple."

So when I clicked reopen, it brought me to a page to enter in the serial number of the software. I have that (since it's my software) and it's telling me the serial number is wrong but I'm taking the number off the back of the case. The serial number I am using is for the Creative Suite Premium. My software has been loaded on my mac for 3 years and I've never had a problem. In Illustrator, it just keeps getting hung up. Can you help?

Have you installed any adobe updates recently?

If you haven't customized your application too much then try reinstalling first and see if that fixes it if not try to call Adobe support and see what they say. Seeing that you can't register it now, they have to help you even though your software is fairly old (CS5 is almost out)
