Install DMG on Windows 7

I got an app in DMG format to test out but I'm running Windows 7.  I found HFSExplorer and was able to open the DMG but now what do I do?

I see 3 folders:
__HFS+ Private Data
SH_1.0 Installer.mpkg

And 2 files:

I've got PowerISO but don't really get what I'm trying to do here to do the install.  I tried burning to CD and expected Windows to figure it out, but that didn't work.  Any ideas / explanations?

Thanks -

DMG files are packages for Macintosh systems. Certain Windows tools can open them to read the files (such as PowerISO and HFSExplorer as you mentioned), but the applications are Mac OS files and applications and do not run under Windows.

Hi there,

I'm not sure what you are trying to do with the DMG, but as far as I know, you cannot install them on a Windows machine because they are for Macintosh only. You could burn the DMG by converting it into an ISO file, but unless you merely trying to extract music or video files, you will have no luck installing an application from it.

Sorry, since I'm sure you wanted a more positive answer, but I think you will find that this is a non-starter.

You can download Mac OS X 10 Virtual Machine for VMware for free, then start that VM and inside the VM load the .dmg or load the prev made dvd from the .dmg in the emulated DVD unit.

That may work, but it is also copyright infringement to do so without a valid OS X license. Even with that, it's very fuzzy waters as Apple claims that the OS is only allowed to be installed on Macintosh hardware, and usage on any other hardware is a violation of the EULA.
I agree with geowrian on this. Yes you can install a DMG on a real or virtual computer (though legality and stability are compromised as you have to use a cracked version of OSX to do it. Even if you were okay with all that (Steve Jobs is disappoint), the task of installing OSX on VMWare is a cumbersome and involved task. Thus, unless you have a Mac, don't worry about the DMG and find something comparable in Windows freeware.
