conflict between 2 versions of crystal reports
i used to have a .net application developed with the help of visual studio 2005 (.net version 2) and the in-built crystal reports version 10.2.3600.0
now on the same server i installed another application with the help of visual studio 2008 (.net version 3.5) and the in-built crystal reports version 10.5.3700.0
ever since i did this, the older web app doesnt display the crystal report; it gives me the following message "Load report failed"
to solve this error, i need to restart the webserver after which, the older app runs fine for some time till giving me the same error message
all this while, the new webapp runs completely fine
anyone knows whats going wrong and how i can solve it?

look for some service related to crystal report if any ..

Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the VS2005 Crystal application?

but at this point i think upgrading my old vs2005 app to vs2008 app would be a better option
