I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the media is full, which the message above suggests, replace it with another tape, or if you aren't using tapes, change it with another disk. If you don't have to keep the old backups, you could also delete or reformat the old media. If that is the case you should also change your backup job so it doesn't store your backups as long as it does now.
