Can't login to Blackberry Administration Server (BES Express 5.0) after install

Hi,

I hope someone can help me with a login issue on Blackberry Enterprise Server Administration Service. I have followed the setup guide to install the software which is now done. The software is installed on a DC which is also an Exchange server (running Exchange 2007). I setup a new AD account (BESAdmin) as instructed but installed the software using the domain admin account. Now when trying to login to the admin service and configure users, it will not let me login. During install, I choose AD integrated login. I've tried using the domain admin account and the BESAdmin account - can't login with either. I also can't seem to find any relevant logs in the Blackberry folder.

Also, to note, I was unable to add the BESAdmin account as a local administrator...i don't think that's possible on an SBS machine, is it?

One final point, I tried accessing the web console from another machine on the LAN (Terminal Server) but the login page wouldn't display...

From having a search, it seems a few people have had this issue though I've yet to find a fix that works for me.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Ahh, ok. :( Thanks for the info JJ. One other thing...what about the user rights for BESAdmin account? As things stand, I cannot logon to the server with this account. Would I have to make it a domain admin?

Thanks,

Zak

Do you think I would be best off installing the software on a seperate machine (say the Terminal Server)?
Ideally, it would probably be better to install it on a spearate server. The service account will need to be a local admin. If you install it on a DC, it would need to be a domain admin.

Ok, thanks for the help. Hopefully that was the only issue so I'll reinstall shortly and give you the points assuming that was the issue. Just need to wait for some users to tidy things up before I reboot the server again.

Cheers.

Ok. I've reinstalled the software under the BESAdmin account (membership: administrators, remote desktop users, authenticated users) but I still have the same issue. Cannot login to the admin console. Any other ideas? Can I now create a Blackberry Administration Service logon, rather than an Active Directory logon?
What exactly is going on when you try to log on to the admin console?
