Restrict the pick list in the "Set Regarding" functionality of the CRM for Outlook addin

I want to restrict the entities that appear in the checklist when one uses the "Set Regarding" functionality of the MS CRM Dynamics 4.0 Outlook add-in.

The attached screenshot shows the complete list of entities in the system.  I want this to only show the ones we are actively using.  Specifically,


I've successfully customized the site map so that these are the only entities that appear in the left panel Outlook folder navigation.  However, the site map does not change what is in here.

We are running CRM in-house so we have complete control to alter as needed.

Can this be done without access to the actual add-in source code?

If so, how?

I think the easiest way would be to customize your security roles and remove all access from the entities that you are not using. Entities that users do not have access to won't appear in the Look Up Records window.

I would copy one of the default security roles and edit the copy.  Each user may belong to one or more roles and users may belong to different roles from each other.
