ASP web site with Access database

We are running an ASP web site with an Access database.  We frequently receive the following error messages:

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many active users., The connection cannot be used to perform this operation. It is either closed or invalid in this context., Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.,

AND

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many active users., The connection cannot be used to perform this operation. It is either closed or invalid in this context., The connection cannot be used to perform this operation. It is either closed or invalid in this context.,

We used to get these error messages on Cold Fusion sites and were able to remedy the problem by un-checking  "Maintain connections across client requests" in the CF administrator.

Is there a similar solution for ASP?  Is there another solution?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

hi! there do you have any idea how many users are connected to the DB ? Generally Access is not good enough in handling too many open connections/users. Let me know the traffic of the webpage please!
