How to Combine Template, DataContext and Style

I have a button with a 'glass button' style and a background color that is bound to a property as follows:

<Dock Panel DataContext = "{Static Resource UniqueUser}"
       <Button Name="btnRefresh"
                Style="{DynamicResource GlassButton}"
                Background="{Binding RefreshButtonColorString,Mode=OneWay}">

It works fine. The style is correct and it's color has been retrieved from the property.

Now I want to have a listbox whose items are buttons of the same (GlassButton) style and whose color is established by same property.

I try the following, but it doesn't quite work. I have the correct style, but the color - which is supposed to be bound to the property in my class - is not coming through.

        <DataTemplate x:Key="RolodexButton">
            <Button Style="{StaticResource GlassButton}"
                        Background="{Binding RefreshButtonColorString,Mode=OneWay}"
                        Content="{Binding Path=_btnText}">

     <ListBox Name="lbGlassButtons"
                 ItemsSource="{Binding }"
                 ItemTemplate="{StaticResource RolodexButton}">
                        <Style TargetType="{x:Type ListBox}">
                            <Setter Property="ItemsPanel">
                                <Setter.Value><ItemsPanelTemplate> <WrapPanel /> </ItemsPanelTemplate></Setter.Value>

Can anyone explain why the Background in the data template is not correct?

You have set the DataContext for the DockPanel as the StaticResource UniqueUser. The background color is related to that it seems.

So in the DataTemplate for the RolodexButton, you need to provide the Source of the Binding.
        <DataTemplate x:Key="RolodexButton">
            <Button Style="{StaticResource GlassButton}"
                        Background="{Binding Source={StaticResource UniqueUser} Path=RefreshButtonColorString,Mode=OneWay}"
                        Content="{Binding Path=_btnText}">
