I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The Adobe team seems to have overlooked this feature. As you have discovered, it is not an option on any of the themes.

Allow me to eat crow. You can add descriptions to web galleries. It turns out that just because I have never chosen to do it does not mean that it can't be done.

Open the file info dialogue and enter your description where it says "description." (dummy slap to forehead) So simple that it stumped me.

There are several ways to  get to the file info in Bridge. Perhaps the easiest is by right clicking the image in Bridge and selecting "file info", or if the file is open in Photoshop go to File>File Info.

But the description does not show up in the slide show
David BruggeCommented:
I almost go back to my original statement. The Journal with Filmstrip and Journal with Slide Show show the description, but it's buried in with all of the other meta data so it hardly counts.
The html Lightroom gallery is the only one that shows the description in any kind of decent way.
So yeah, the Adobe team pretty much overlooked this feature.

Sorry for the misleading info. After I posted that it couldn't be done, a colleague said "Yeah it can, watch this." and showed me how, using the html Lightroom. I then assumed that adding the description to the meta data would work in the others as well. Wrong!

Thanks for the update.  Too bad, because IMHO Bridge is much easier to work with than Lightroom
