Is there a way to lock a user account while they are logged on?  Need to do so in case of terminating an employee.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You would have to lock them out in AD... and then disconnect them from any servers that they are logged into...

The easiest way to do this, is send a reboot command to thier PC remotely...

but the best thing to do is quickly take thier pc/laptop and disable the account.

Hi,

The remote command is:

shutdown -r -m \\Computername -t xx -c "Any Comments" -f

-r for reboot, For Computername you need to give exact computer name
For xx give time in Seconds
-c for Comments without cotes
-f to force.

Please reply.
