"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

1) add windows 2003 server to domain  (poing TCP/IP properties DNS to the IP address of the existing 2008 server's IP address)

2) run DCPROMO and follow the wizard... choose make this server an Additional domain controller of an existing domain.

Depending on what your Forest Functional level is. If you are running Windows 2008 Forest level you will not be able to add a 2003 server as a DC.
