Email Address validation

I have a person who uses a free service on our site, where it will send an epraise, but their email address fails on the validation because the ' being in it.

I have never seen an email address with ' in it like this, usually admin people don't allow that sort of stuff, but I guess in this case it is acceptable. So I have to trap for it, so I was wondering what I need to do to make this work

For Javascript
if (tbEm.value.match(/^[a-z0-9][a-z0-9_\.-]{0,}[a-z0-9]@[a-z0-9][a-z0-9_\.-]{0,}[a-z0-9][\.][a-z0-9]{2,4}$/i))    {
        blnReturn = true;

and for as well.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
