Exchange Internal external email not being delivered or recieved

Hi,

For the last 4 hours we have had a issue with our external and internal email which is not being delivered.
When we look at the tracking for all the messages sent the message ends by being submitted to the categorizor and goes no further. Our awaiting directory lookup folder is now in excess of 500.
Wew are running exchange  2003 with Trend micro. We have tried a few solutions found on the web but no luck yet.
Any help apreicated.

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you checked you domain controllers to make sure that they are all still functioning?  Try running a dcdiag from the command prompt on your domain controller and verify that all test come back as passed.  you may also want to try running a netdiag from your domain controller and exchange server/

You may have to install netdiag from here
