recently I paid to renew my suite for antivirus and antispam and content filter, It protects exchange and my internal lan users, but I am not sure about it,for this reason I am asking ,

it has 2 engines, one for anti spam and antivirus, it will freeze the network you mean?
If my memory serves me correct, the TZ170 has a 25Mbps throughput but when you enable the gateway services, it drops to 5~10Mbps. Because of this I prefer to ue the resources on each of my local machines to scan for threats and protection.

yea for this reason I buy it, because i study my network if I want to purchase antivirus system and antispam it will cost much , and we are cutting the costs ,so the common answer that it is a good firewall and worth to depend on it,any other suggestions?

The main advantage of TZ170 is that it has IPS too so dont worry much about security threats U just do some port scanning and other tests to check what are open in your firewall.
As i have used sonicwall is good. It has free netflow analyzer also i just forgot its name. Try to utilize all features of sonic wall . Its supports IPsec VPN's too. And a simple GUI.

how to test the ports from outside to my sonic wall if it is opened or blocked
Goto GRC.com and use the 'Shields Up' and "Leaktest" analyzers.
Try an online portscanner, you could Google for that and find plenty of them.
