Base system device problem

Hello,

I needed to reinstall an ASUS notebook (A3A). Everything went well but in the device manager the item base system device is giving a problem. I don't get it installed. I tried the ATK driver that's proposed by ASUS, but still no avail. Does someone has an idea?

Hello, please look at device manager, on that unknown device right click mouse button and select Properties,
then go to Details Tab and from Property list select Hardware IDs. Write everything from the first appeared line on Value Box, it will make easier to help finding driver for Your notebook

there are various databases on internet where the drivers could be checked by vendor ID and device number. In most cases google helps for such problems

Vendor ID. So in this case that would be VEN_1180?

donciakasCommented:
VEN_1180 would say that it is Ricoh who made that part of Your notebook
DEV_0592 - Memory Stick Host Controller
Here's a little example of search how everything is easy
