Calendar sync with thunderbird or outlook

Hello,
I had 3 laptops in a workgroup environment, they are willing to use calendars in either outlook or thunderbird and they want to sync events.
Any idea how to make it?
Thanks in advance

Hello,

Sync events with each other? Outlook, and Thunderbird with the Sunbird plug-in are just the client access tools, not full-fledged calendaring applications. To share calendars among Outlook users, you need Exchange or something like that. Ever consider Google Calendar?

Well, as for outlook, there is no Exchange Server.
So I had to go with Thunderbird & Google calendar?
Anything else?

You don't have to use Thunderbird to look at the calendar, you could just use the web.

Right,
as Firebar points out, you can just use Google calendar across the 3 computers and Share calendars. See

However, according to Google, they don't mention requiring Exchange to sync with Outlook.

Also, google calendar can be viewed in Thunderbirds Lightning as well.
