I just went through this with a client not more then an hour ago. I used the Cleanspl.exe utility to wipe out everything with spooling subsystem. It's part of the Windows 2003 Resource Tool Kit.<br />
I would run that and if it comes back again, you've got a buggy driver.<br />

Spooler subsystem app error keeps recurring after MS fix
