Hudson initial build error - please get a newer Subversion client

Hi,

I've set-up my first Hudson project. On the inital build I get the below error

This client is too old to work with working copy '<http://eh-app.ve.uk.com:8888/job/ws/GUI';> please get a newer Subversion client.

Any ideas? Thanks

Please be more verbose about:

* Hudson version
* SVN Server version
* OS version on both server and client

Basically that message means that the SVN client in your Hudson installation is too old for working with the repository.

Hudson ver. 1.352
SVN on the server:/apps/svn:1.4.5.1
server OS : Linux version 2.6.9-34.ELsmp (bhcompile@hs20-bc1-7.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.4.5 20051201 (Red Hat 3.4.5-2))
client OS : MS XP Pro - Version 2002 SP3

Does hudson have it's own svn version of does it use that loaded on the linux host? What I've stated above is what I have on the host

I'm piggy-backing off an existing  Hudson instance my colleage has running. It runs / builds his project no problem, so I'm surprised.

Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks
Interesting. Our SVN-Server uses RHEL4 and Subversion-1.4 too. Though our Hudson runs on a RHEL5 buildserver which ships Subversion-1.6 - no problems. Hudson version here is 1.329 with Subversion plugin 1.7

Question: Did Hudson do the initial checkout itself, or did you point it to some other workspace? Might be a metadata issue then.
Or do your build scripts maybe call an external svn client?
