esx 3.5 extend evaluation

I'm using a 3.5 evaluation license for a test lab, does anyone know of a way to extend the evaluation time as I am running out in a few days. I heard you can delete the license file and this does it although it did not for me. thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That is inaccurate. If you call VMware Sales Manager for your region, they can provide you another license to extend the date for you, but typically it's a one-time deal. In other words, once your extension runs out, you more than likely cannot extend it any further.

If your VMs are stored in a separate disk , other than the one ESX is installed. You can reinstall the ESX keeping the VMs as it is. After you install ESX you can browse the datastore and the VMs to inventory (one by one )
