ASP.NET logout session_end

Hello

I have an ASP.NET 4, C#, VWD2010 application with web form authentication.

I have a LoginStatus control in the masterpage. I thought that, when clicking on the logout action, apart from redirecting to the login page, the control also issued a session end but it doesn't seem the case.

Anyone know how to trigger a session end manually upon logging out?

Regards and thanks for making this a Value Added resource.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think what you are wanting is to call Session.abandon. Here is an example of it being used: http://www.java2s.com/Tutorial/ASP.NET/0220__Sessions/EndasessionbycallingSessionAbandonC.htm
