web service access denied
hello!,
i am able to view webservice, hosted in a IIS machine locally from outside (ie; internet). but when i invoke it returns with error, when i look at address bar it shows local ip address. when open locally within the intranet it shows okay as its a local machine within the network. The error is ' connection refused'. I have TMG/ISA and could not find any issue after doing some filtering. any ideas ?

Any specific port is used by the webservice? if so then check the firewall whether that port is allowed for outside network connections.

yes a port is used. when i type internet address as "http://206.x.x.74:8963", from internet, it shows the webservice, but once i click on the inovke button, the address bar address changes to http://192.168.1.78:8963/webservice... with error connection was refused when connection http://192.168.1.78:8963'

I belive when it returns the page it should return with the "http://206.x.x.74:8963" and not local ip

oops .. the thing got working .. when i checked the web.conf and some other files, when i looked i had the local ip defined and when i changed it to the public IP (internet IP) it worked .. maybe it took somtime to fix up eh.. thanks anyway.
