Can intranet statistics server be different from intranet update service in WSUS 3.0 SP1 or 2?

I recently took over managing our WSUS environment. We have a main WSUS server and 5 replica servers at our branches. Is it possible to set the intranet update service server to the branch replica but set the intranet statistics server to the main server for PCs/Servers at the branch offices?

Also, I noticed on our main server that even though the PCs are set with client-side targeting to their appropriate computer groups, the branch PCs remain in the "Unassigned Computers" group on the main server. Is this normal?

The branch PCs have their client side targeting set correctly. On the branch servers, they appear in their correct computer group (which were all created originally on the main WSUS server).

Yes. Everything was created on the main and replicated to the branch servers.
