Apache rewrite rule for http to https

We have an Apache rewrite rule that will rewrite the URL from http to https if a user visits a particular section of our website.  That seems to work fine.  What I want to do is have them switched back to http once they are out that area.  Currently once they have enter the SSL, everywhere else in the site stays on https.  Here is a sample of the rewrite rule:

RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^80$
RewriteRule ^/secure/login.php$ https://www.sampleonly.com/secure/login.php [R,L,NC]

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try this,

Add a rule above your SSL change to check port and virtual path. If it is https and /secure that flip it to http://......

-------
#Reverse all directories that is not /secure/
  RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^443$
  RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI}  ^/secure/
  RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R,L,NC]

#Force SSL on /secure/
  RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^80$
  RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/secure$
  RewriteRule ^/secure/login.php$ https://www.sampleonly.com/secure/login.php [R,L,NC]

---------
